WINNEMUCCA — We may not have a cure for breast cancer yet, but we do know that early detection saves lives. So if you have been putting off having that yearly mammogram because you don’t have insurance, hope is on the way. Literally.
The Nevada Cancer Institute’s Hope Coach, the mobile mammography van, will be in town on Wednesday, June 9 and Thursday, June 10, from 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Winnemucca Events Complex to provide the yearly screening mammogram for women without insurance who are between 40 and 64 years of age.
Women with insurance who have been putting off the yearly screening are also encouraged to make an appointment. Most insurances are accepted and you may call to inquire.
To schedule an appointment or to ask about insurance options call: 1-866-721-4673.
