The Winnemucca Community Garden is hosting a free Gardening Swap on Saturday, May 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This is a chance for community members to trade out any gardening items that are no longer needed for something else you may get more use out of.
Bring a few items for the swap, place them on various tables (grouped by type), and then “shop” through what others have brought. This is a no-expense way to change the look of your patio or garden.
Please keep in mind you may bring one or two larger items and leave with a bunch of pots and plants, or you may bring lots and only find a few chimes and seed packs to take home.
We just ask that nobody be greedy, and no tit-for-tat thinking. At the end of the swap you may take back what you brought that no one else needed, or you may donate it for future use at the Community Garden.
You don’t have to reserve a spot, just show up.
Suggested Items (but not limited to: pots, healthy plants, seeds, plant hangers, gardening tools, chimes, bird feeders, yard art, hoses/sprinklers
For more information call the Community Garden at 623-2333
**Please remember this is not a way to get rid of broken items, only bring things that others can really use and you would be interested in if you weren’t changing looks or re-homing what you have to much of.
