WINNEMUCCA —The Humboldt Pershing Sustainable Development ("HPSD") Partnership of Northern Nevada and Klamath/Lake County Renewable Energy Working Group of South Central Oregon are pleased to announce their first joint event- "CORE 2010" - Corridor Of Renewable Energy Conference, April 29-30, 2010.
The "CORE 2010" event will bring together stakeholders in renewable energy including community leaders, professionals and organizations from Northern Nevada, Southern Oregon and Idaho to share, exchange and learn more about the renewable energy efforts in their communities.
Guest speakers will provide the latest information on renewable energy topics including wind, solar, biomass, and geothermal energy sources as well as state and federal incentive programs.
Businesses, ranchers and all interested individuals can learn more about renewable energy and its benefits to potentially lower energy costs and create diverse economic opportunities within their communities.
Klamath/Lake Counties has deemed itself "Oregon’s most renewable counties" and Humboldt/Pershing Counties are the location of key geothermal energy resources. The partnerships in both states earlier last year realized their synergies and common goals of prioritizing renewable energy as a pathway to offer new economic opportunities for their communities.
