Naturalists will plan, coordinate, and teach all of the educational programs of Nevada Outdoor School including in-classroom lessons, summer camps, special events, volunteer events, and field trips. On average the Naturalists will teach 2 classes/day and reach 1,500 students each month. Naturalists will also develop kindergarten through 6th grade lesson plans that align with the Nevada State standards as well as the North American Association for Environmental Excellence guidelines. Primary Responsibilities: -Provide local and rural schools with 45 minute in-class environmental education lessons in compliance to the curriculum of the school district -Write and edit lesson plans -Plan and Facilitate successful summer camp programs (2 Adventure Camps, Girls Camp, Nature @ Noon, 3 Backpacking Adventures, Family Camp Out, and more) -Complete participant number spreadsheets and direct results monthly for all educational programs -Develop and utilize needs assessment evaluations
